Incapacity Reform-Employment and Support Allowance - level 2
This is a half-day briefing on the proposed changes, due to come into effect in April 2008, to benefits for people who are unable to work because of illness or disability. The changes include the replacement of Incapacity Benefit with an Employment and Support Allowance where different categories of claimants will receive differing amounts of money and sanctions will apply to people who refuse to co-operate with government schemes designed to achieve a return to work.
