Devon Welfare Rights Unit staff can assist advisers by identifying benefits or tax credits to which a person may be entitled and by providing assistance with challenging decisions.

If you are dealing with a benefits or tax credits enquiry and you are having difficulty finding a way forward or you just need to talk the case through with someone, please contact us. In many cases we can deal with cases over the phone, but sometimes we may ask you to send us any documents you may have that are relevant.

We may help prepare a case for you by writing a draft letter, notice of appeal or submission. In some cases we may help you to refer the case to another organisation or in rare cases we may take on a case ourselves. Usually we would only take on a case if it has failed at the local tribunal level. You can contact us by telephone, fax or email.
